Dr. Lacy is accepting new patients and referrals at the Great Falls Clinic Specialty Center located at 3000 15th Ave S. For more information or to make an appointment, please call (406) 454-2171. 

Dr. Lacy specializes in infectious diseases and has practiced medicine for over 25 years. Dr. Lacy has experience treating diseases like pneumonia, infections of heart valves and prosthetic joints, HIV, AIDS and much more. 

Dr. Lacy grew up in the small ranching town of Payson, Arizona. He received his Bachelor of Science at Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff. He went on to achieve a medical degree from the University of Arizona in Tucson, Arizona. In 1983, Dr. Lacy attended West Virginia University for an internal medicine and pediatrics residency program at the Robert C. Byrd Health Sciences Center in Morgantown, West Virginia and completed his residency in 1987.  He then completed his infectious diseases fellowship, at West Virginia University in 1997.  During his education, he was awarded a Fulbright Scholarship and taught and practiced infectious diseases overseas in Amman, Jordan and then Jakarta, Indonesia. . 

In the years to follow, Dr. Lacy joined the United States Naval Reserves and was given the opportunity to travel the world, educating at universities and medical centers on topics such as parasitic diseases, tuberculosis management, and medical ethics. In 2001, he was awarded a Navy achievement medal and in 2008 was honorably discharged at rank of Commander. A Master of Arts degree in clinical ethics was awarded in 2012 from Trinity Graduate School in Deerfield, Illinois. He continued practicing and teaching at Texas Tech University and the University of New Mexico School of Medicine until recently when he decided to head north. His family has owned land in Yaak, Montana since the 1970’s and he has grandchildren in Alberta, Canada. 

The connection with Montana and family in Alberta brings him and his wife, Marlene, to Great Falls.  He looks forward to spending time with his family, hiking, learning more about the history of the West and, maybe, fly fishing!
