The Great Falls Clinic is pleased to welcome Dr. Steven Mast to the Interventional Cardiology team. With two decades of experience under his belt, Dr. Mast is a seasoned interventional cardiologist with additional expertise in echocardiography and nuclear cardiology. His wealth of knowledge is an excellent addition to the Great Falls community.
Dr. Mast dedicated 22 years of his life to the pursuit of education. In 1985, he began his schooling at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Michigan; in 1989 he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in biology. Following this, Dr. Mast moved to San Francisco, California to attend the University of California where he completed his medical degree in 1993. While at the University of California, Dr. Mast was awarded the Meritorious Research Award in Infectious Disease. From 1993 to 1996, Dr. Mast attended John Hopkins University School of Medicine in Baltimore, Maryland where he completed an internal medicine internship at Osler Medical Service. At Johns Hopkins, Dr. Mast spent another year as Assistant Chief of Service, rounding and teaching internal medicine interns, residents, and medical students. In 1996, he began a cardiovascular fellowship at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, North Carolina and completed it in 2001. Dr. Mast completed a second fellowship for interventional cardiology in 2006 at Henry Ford Health System in Detroit, Michigan.
Dr. Mast has spent the past 17 years affiliated with the Munson Medical Center in Traverse City, Michigan. At the Traverse Heart & Vascular Center, Dr. Mast does so much more than provide cardiovascular care; he is a source of knowledge and compassion for his patients. Online, his previous patients have described him as well spoken and incredibly attentive. Dr. Mast is excited to provide this same personalized care for Montanans.
In his spare time, Dr. Mast enjoys spending time with his wife and their four adult children. He looks forward to moving to Montana where he and his wife will explore the outdoors on horseback and learn to fly fish.
