September 11, 2025 – The Great Falls Clinic is pleased to welcome Dr. Gregory Wood, an interventional cardiologist, to the Heart Center team. Dr. Wood brings over 20 years of experience and holds board certifications in interventional cardiology, general cardiology, and nuclear cardiology.
Dr. Wood completed his undergraduate studies at La Salle University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry, along with minors in Biology and French. He then obtained a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, also in Philadelphia. Dr. Wood continued his education at this institution, first as an internal medicine intern and later as a resident.
After completing his residency, Dr. Wood was accepted into an adult cardiovascular disease fellowship program at Deborah Heart and Lung Center in Browns Mills, New Jersey. Over three years, he completed level two competencies in nuclear cardiology, echocardiography (ECHO), and transesophageal echocardiography (TEE), and a level three competency in diagnostic catheterization. Following this, Dr. Wood began a second fellowship at Deborah Heart and Lung Institute, where he specialized in interventional cardiology.
Dr. Wood has established two private practices in Ohio, where he has provided clinical, nuclear, and interventional cardiology services to the communities of Canton and Mentor. From 2022 to 2024, he worked as a traveling provider in Iowa and Kentucky. Dr. Wood looks forward to continuing his travel while establishing meaningful connections with the Great Falls community and surrounding areas.
In his spare time, Dr. Wood enjoys spending time with his wife and her eight grandchildren, working on old cars, and tackling various household projects.
