Kristina Burton, MSN, NP-C | Gastroenterology
Kristina Burton, MSN, NP-C, joins our gastroenterology team. She provides comprehensive digestive health care alongside Dr. Jason Puckett. She brings extensive clinical experience and a patient-centered approach to our clinic.
Professional Background and Experience
Kristina is an experienced nurse practitioner with more than 15 years of advanced practice experience. Throughout her career, she has worked in multiple healthcare settings. Her background includes gastroenterology, nephrology, bariatric medicine, and hospital-based medicine.
She earned her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Missouri-Kansas City in 2007. Because of this training, she helps patients navigate complex health conditions through evidence-based care. Her clinical expertise includes:
- Comprehensive patient assessments
- Individualized treatment planning
- Medication management
- Preventative care and patient education
Before joining our team, Kristina practiced locally in Great Falls. She collaborated closely with multidisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes. Earlier in her career, she provided gastroenterology care in Springfield, Missouri. There, she treated patients in both clinic and hospital settings.
Patient Care Philosophy
Kristina is passionate about building strong relationships with her patients. She believes open communication is essential for successful health outcomes. Furthermore, she wants to empower patients to take an active role in their care plans.
“I am excited to join the Great Falls Clinic Gastroenterology team and continue serving patients in our community,” said Burton. “My goal is to provide compassionate, individualized care while helping patients understand their conditions and feel confident in their treatment plans.”
Personal Life
Kristina has called Great Falls home since 2024. She is thrilled to continue caring for patients across Montana. In her free time, she stays busy running around with her four children, hiking, and camping.
