Kristina Burton, MSN, NP-C, Joins the Great Falls Clinic Gastroenterology Team
The Great Falls Clinic is proud to announce that Kristina Burton, MSN, NP-C, has joined our gastroenterology team. She will expand patient access and provide comprehensive digestive health care alongside Dr. Jason Puckett. Furthermore, she brings extensive clinical experience and a patient-centered approach to our community.
Extensive Clinical Experience
Kristina is a nurse practitioner with more than 15 years of advanced practice experience. Throughout her career, she has cared for patients across multiple healthcare settings. Her clinical background includes:
- Gastroenterology
- Nephrology
- Bariatric medicine
- Hospital-based medicine
Because of this diverse background, she has developed a well-rounded perspective on chronic disease management.
Education and Expertise
In 2007, Kristina earned her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Missouri-Kansas City. Since then, she has dedicated her career to helping patients navigate complex health conditions. Her core clinical expertise includes:
- Comprehensive patient assessments
- Individualized treatment planning
- Medication management
- Preventative care and patient education
Before joining the Great Falls Clinic, Kristina collaborated closely with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate care. Earlier in her career, she spent several years providing gastroenterology care in Springfield, Missouri. There, she treated patients in both clinic and hospital settings.
A Patient-Centered Philosophy
Kristina is truly passionate about building strong relationships with her patients. She believes that open communication is essential to achieving successful health outcomes. Moreover, she wants to empower patients to take an active role in their treatment plans.
“I am excited to join the Great Falls Clinic Gastroenterology team and continue serving patients in our community,” said Burton. “My goal is to provide compassionate, individualized care while helping patients understand their conditions and feel confident in their treatment plans.”
Life Outside the Clinic
Kristina has proudly called Great Falls home since 2024. She is thrilled to continue caring for patients across Montana. In her spare time, she stays busy running around with her four children, hiking, and camping.
