Amber brings more than a decade of experience in interventional pain management, having served as the sole advanced practice provider in a high-volume rural pain management practice at Saratoga Hospital in New York. Throughout her career, she has worked closely with physicians to evaluate new and established patients, develop individualized treatment plans, educate patients on procedural options, and coordinate comprehensive pain management care.

Her clinical expertise includes non-opioid pain management strategies, peripheral nerve stimulation, dorsal root ganglion (DRG) stimulation, spinal cord stimulation, neuromodulation therapies, mid-trial evaluations, temporary lead removals, trigger point injections, intramuscular injections, and Botox injection therapy. She has extensive experience helping patients explore innovative treatment options designed to improve function, reduce pain, and enhance quality of life.

Amber earned her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Clarkson University in Potsdam, New York. She also received her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Clarkson University and completed the New Visions Health Careers Exploration Program through Wesley Health Center, solidifying an early commitment to a career in healthcare.

Prior to her work in pain management, Amber gained valuable experience treating patients in acute care chemical dependency detoxification units, inpatient rehabilitation programs, and outpatient substance use treatment settings. She also served as a physician assistant at Canton-Potsdam Hospital, broadening her clinical experience across multiple healthcare environments.

Amber is passionate about helping patients regain function and improve their quality of life through evidence-based, non-opioid treatment approaches. She believes in partnering closely with patients to understand their goals, educate them about available treatment options, and create individualized care plans that support long-term success.

“Chronic pain can affect every aspect of a person’s life,” said Wagg. “I am excited to be part of this organization and value building individualized treatment plans to meet my patients’ goals and enhance their quality of life. I am passionate about helping patients find effective treatment options that improve their function, restore independence, and allow them to return to the activities that matter most to them. I look forward to serving the Great Falls community and becoming part of the outstanding team at the Great Falls Clinic.”

Amber is a member of the American Academy of Physician Associates and remains committed to staying current with advances in interventional pain management and neuromodulation therapies.

As she relocates from New York to Montana, Amber looks forward to building relationships with patients throughout Central Montana and helping them navigate a personalized path toward pain relief and improved quality of life. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two daughters, fly fishing, and being on the water whenever possible. Amber and her family, including their Boston Terrier Piper, are excited to make Montana home and embrace all the outdoor recreation opportunities the region has to offer.
