OrthoNOW – Frequently Asked Questions
What is OrthoNOW?
OrthoNOW is a walk‑in orthopedic clinic designed for new, acute bone, joint, or muscle injuries that need same‑day evaluation, without an appointment.
What types of conditions are treated at OrthoNOW?
OrthoNOW is ideal for recent injuries, including:
- Sprains and strains
- Suspected closed fractures
- Sports and work‑related injuries
- Acute joint injuries
- Casting and splinting needs
If you were injured today or recently and need an orthopedic evaluation, OrthoNOW may be right for you.
What conditions are NOT appropriate for OrthoNOW?
OrthoNOW is not intended to replace ongoing or scheduled orthopedic care.
Please do not visit OrthoNOW for:
- Chronic or long‑standing pain
- Back pain
- Feet related issues
- Conditions already evaluated by Orthopedics, Walk-in (ICC), Urgent Care, or the ER
- Follow‑up visits for ongoing treatment plans
- Post‑operative care
- Surgical consultations
- Conditions with a scheduled orthopedic appointment
If you fall into one of these categories, your scheduled visit or existing provider is the best place for your care.
I already have an orthopedic appointment scheduled. Should I still go to OrthoNOW?
No. If you already have an orthopedic appointment scheduled, please keep that appointment unless your provider specifically directs you to OrthoNOW.
OrthoNOW does not replace scheduled orthopedic visits.
I was seen in Wak-in/Immediate Care / the ER already. Can I come to OrthoNOW for a second opinion or faster care?
In most cases, no. If you have already been evaluated and a treatment plan or referral has been recommended, OrthoNOW is not the appropriate next step. Continuing with the recommended follow‑up ensures the best and safest care.
Can OrthoNOW see patients who were offered a surgeon appointment but declined it?
No. OrthoNOW is not designed to replace surgical consultations or ongoing orthopedic management. If a surgeon visit has been recommended, that is the appropriate next step.
Does OrthoNOW see “everything” orthopedic?
No. OrthoNOW is focused on new, acute injuries only. Some orthopedic conditions require scheduled visits, imaging review, or surgical consultation that cannot be provided in a walk‑in setting.
Do I need a referral or appointment?
No referral or appointment is needed for appropriate OrthoNOW visits.
However, eligibility is based on the type of condition; not convenience or scheduling preferences.
What services are available at OrthoNOW?
- Orthopedic evaluation by specialists
- On‑site X‑ray imaging
- Casting and splinting
- Clear treatment plans and next‑step guidance
If additional care is needed, patients may be referred for follow‑up with Orthopedics.

Go to the Emergency Department or call 911 for:
- Open fractures (bone visible)
