I AM: Beyond the Diagnosis

When developing this campaign, we were inspired by each patient’s individual story, including Sharon’s positivity and Ann’s tenacity. This led to us creating a campaign to follow their personal journeys with the hope of sharing real-life experiences. When developing this campaign, we were inspired by each patient’s individual story, including Sharon’s positivity and Ann’s tenacity. At Great Falls Clinic, our Child & Adolescent Psychiatry department provides compassionate, comprehensive mental health care for children, teenagers, and their families. Led by a board-certified child and adolescent psychiatrist, Dr. Malinda Pike, we specialize in the evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of emotional, behavioral, developmental, and mental health concerns that can affect a child’s well-being, relationships, academic success, and overall quality of life.

Childhood and adolescence are periods of tremendous growth and change. During these important years, mental health challenges can sometimes emerge and impact a young person’s ability to thrive. Our child and adolescent psychiatrist works closely with patients and families to understand each child’s unique needs and develop individualized treatment plans that support healthy development and long-term success.

Whether your child is struggling with anxiety, depression, ADHD, behavioral concerns, mood disorders, or other mental health challenges, we are here to provide expert care in a supportive and welcoming environment.

Specialized Mental Health Care for Children and Teens

A child and adolescent psychiatrist is a physician who specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of disorders affecting a young person’s thoughts, emotions, and behavior. As a medical doctor, a child and adolescent psychiatrist has specialized training that allows them to evaluate both the emotional and physical factors that may contribute to mental health concerns.

At Great Falls Clinic, care extends beyond the patient alone. Mental health concerns often impact the entire family, which is why our physician works collaboratively with parents, guardians, primary care providers, schools, and other healthcare professionals when appropriate.

Our goal is to help children and adolescents develop the skills, confidence, and support they need to thrive at home, in school, and in their communities.

Family-Centered Mental Health Care

Parents and caregivers play an important role in a child’s emotional and behavioral health. Throughout the evaluation and treatment process, our child and adolescent psychiatrist partners with families to better understand concerns, identify strengths, and develop effective strategies for success.

By involving families in treatment planning whenever appropriate, we can create a supportive environment that promotes lasting progress both at home and in school. Our goal is to help families gain a deeper understanding of their child’s challenges while providing practical tools and guidance for ongoing support.
