The Great Falls Clinic is proud to announce their latest campaign for the Cancer Center, I AM: Beyond the Diagnosis, in partnership with local photographer and artist, Matt Ehnes. This uniquely groundbreaking campaign aims to humanize patients beyond their cancer diagnoses by emphasizing their personal journeys. Unlike previous campaigns, which focus on the clinical side of cancer treatment, this campaign focuses solely on the patients by looking past the doctor’s office and telling their individual stories.
To kick off the campaign, two cancer patients from the Great Falls Clinic Cancer Center volunteered to share their experiences and be photographed by local artist Matt Ehnes; and it’s only the beginning. The photographs capture the subjects modeling customized floral pieces reflecting a physical impact from their cancer treatments. Sharon can be seen wearing an intricately placed headdress made up of a rainbow of flowers in place of her hair, while Ann clutches a blooming, vibrant shield across her chest and shoulder representing her stance against breast cancer through her double mastectomy. Both women graciously describe how cancer permanently changed their lives and their experiences with the Cancer Center. Over the next several months, the campaign will continue to highlight patient stories and emphasize that they are more than their diagnosis. The goal of the artistic campaign is to empower current and future cancer patients to know they are not alone, they are not defined by their diagnosis, and they have not lost themselves. The campaign allows cancer patients to be proud of where they are at and how far they have come.
Community members, survivors and team members are invited to a special event hosted by the Great Falls Clinic Cancer Center to honor the resilience and spirit of cancer patients. During this event the Cancer Center will acknowledge those that have participated in this unique campaign, recognize the cancer care team, highlight the Survivorship program, and showcase the upcoming Infusion Center remodel. The event will be located at the Great Falls Clinic Specialty Center Conference Room at 3000 15th Ave South, on Tuesday, June 18th starting at 5:00 PM.
