The Great Falls Clinic was excited to announce the expansion of its Cancer Center Infusion Suite remodel during their I AM: Beyond the Diagnosis event last evening, June 18, 2024. Patients and staff alike will enjoy the beautiful changes made possible by Great Falls Clinic’s investment of $1.5 million into the Cancer Center space this year.
“As an organization whose mission is to deliver personalized, compassionate care to all, I can say that the Cancer Center embodies that mission daily. I see it as I walk through the infusion and radiation oncology areas; no one is a number. Everyone has a name and a story. There are smiles, hugs and hope. There is so much more to come from Great Falls Clinic and Cancer Center as we look forward to this new space in the fall of 2024,” shared Caryl Perdaems, Chief Practice Officer, during the I AM: Beyond the Diagnosis event.
A few new amenities as a part of this remodel include an expanded space to accommodate five additional infusion chairs, all new and plush, where patients can now conveniently charge their devices with strategically placed outlets at chair level. Patients will also be surrounded with natural light from the new floor to ceiling windows. Featured within the space will be powerful imagery of real patients from the Great Falls Clinic Cancer Center who participated in the I AM: Beyond the Diagnosis campaign with intricate floral compositions; each flower and leaf representing endured spirits, resilience and the path they’ve navigated through cancer journey. The space will also include a newly added electric fireplace, adding to the extra touch of serenity to the room’s ambiance. Additionally, if a patient is seeking a moment of respite after their care, they can lie down in one of our new Comfort Rooms.
But patients aren’t the only ones who will benefit from enhancements to the space. A cozy new area, designed specifically for family members and loved ones, will be available for anyone accompanying a patient undergoing treatment. The remodel will also enhance the oncology staff’s ability to provide care. A new nurses’ station placed in the center of the room will promote smooth interactions and efficient treatment administration.
This project is expected to wrap up by the end of September 2024. For more information place call (406) 454-2171.
