Great Falls Clinic Welcomes Interventional Cardiologist, Shawn Kelly, MD
The Great Falls Clinic is pleased to welcome interventional cardiologist Shawn Kelly, MD, to the Heart Center team. Dr. Kelly is board-certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular medicine, and interventional cardiology. He has a unique blend of international training, advanced procedural knowledge, and a long-standing commitment to patient-centered care.
Advanced Training and International Experience
Dr. Kelly earned his medical degree from the University of Newcastle in Australia. Followed by residency training in Internal Medicine at the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque. He completed a Cardiovascular Medicine Fellowship at the University of South Dakota Heart Program in Sioux Falls, where he served as Chief Fellow and Clinical Instructor.
After that, he completed an Interventional Cardiology Fellowship at the University of Massachusetts in Worcester, Massachusetts, gaining advanced procedural experience. Additionally, Dr. Kelly completed specialized TAVR (Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement) training at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City, which expanded his expertise in structural heart interventions.
Professional Certifications and Distinctions
Dr. Kelly holds recognition from the National Board of Echocardiography and is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology (FACC). He is also a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Australia, reflecting his broad clinical experience and international training across both the United States and Australia.
