The Great Falls Hospital is excited to announce it has achieved numerous five-star ratings for specialty care, according to new research released by Healthgrades, the #1 site consumers use to find a hospital or doctor. In 2025 the Great Falls Hospital adds a Five-Star Award for Outpatient Rotator Cuff Repair to a list of noteworthy achievements. Additionally, for the fifth year in a row, the Hospital is a Five-Star recipient for Total Hip Replacement. These achievements reflect the Great Falls Clinic’s commitment to consistently delivering the best care possible and placing the organization in the upper echelon of hospitals for specialty care nationwide.
“We are proud to be recognized among the top performing hospitals in the country,” shares Mark Robinson, Great Falls Clinic Hospital Chief Executive Officer. “Not only did our orthopedic team win a five-star award for outpatient rotator cuff repair, but this is also the fifth year in a row the Great Falls Clinic Hospital has won a five-star award for total hip replacement! The Great Falls Clinic Hospital works every day to embody our mission, to deliver compassionate, personalized care to all; these national recognitions prove that our medical staff members hold themselves to a high standard and embody our values.”
To identify the top-performing hospitals for the most common outpatient procedures and conditions, Healthgrades focused exclusively on what matters most: patient outcomes. As part of its 2025 analysis, Healthgrades analyzed risk-adjusted mortality and complication rates at short-term acute care facilities nationwide that perform critical orthopedic procedures in an outpatient environment. Healthgrades found that patients treated at hospitals with nationally recognized outpatient programs have a demonstrably better chance of a positive outcome than those treated at hospitals that were not recognized for outpatient excellence. From 2021 through 2023, if all hospitals as a group, performed similarly to hospitals receiving five stars as a group, on average, 35,563 complications could potentially have been avoided. *
“Year after year, the Great Falls Clinic delivers consistently superior clinical outcomes to patients undergoing critical procedures in an outpatient environment,” said Brad Bowman, MD, chief medical officer and head of data science at Healthgrades. “Healthgrades is proud to recognize the Great Falls Clinic as a national leader in specialty care and a choice hospital for outpatient surgery in Central Montana.”
